Talking Unusual magazine repair, necessity and invention

When I received this magazine, at first glance, I thought it an early flat button commercial magazine.

On second look, it is in a late body with long slot and semi-circle crimps.

On third look, the flat button is in fact the head and shortened shank of a common 16d coated sinker framing NAIL!

I knew I had seen those fine lines before!
