Wow... the review in USA Today is really as politically correct as it can possibly be:
"the fact that there are only a couple of women and no lead actors of color may rub some the wrong way". Movies should obviously be politically correct, and not historically correct:

In any case, I saw it the other day, and it's a really good movie. However, there are some details that detail oriented geeks like me will find more distracting than the lack of diversity. For example, I got serious "Battle of Britain" vibes from the Bf 109s being HA-1112s with Hispano-Suiza engines. Another annoying detail is a burning Spitfire without engine and the propeller mounted to a long piece of pipe. The dive bombing technique used by the Ju 87's seemed to be quite a bit off as well, to me it looked more like strafing runs than actual dive bombing. On the flip side: The aircraft in the air battle scenes appear to be the real McCoy, not some cheesy CGI.
I only have one real complaint: The movie throws you right into the action, without much explanation of what lead up to the event. If you're planning to see it together with someone without much knowledge of WWII, you may want to explain the history behind it. I saw it together with my son and his buddy and I'm glad I told them about the background while we were on out way to the theater. They still had a lot of questions after the movie, like why the Germans didn't just roll in to annihilate them while they had the chance.
