Polishing the interfaces along the trigger train can help. Don't mess with the angles of the sear's interface with the f.p.! Just polish...

Widening the rear sight's notch is sometimes done, and I believe the Swiss did it. Low level shooter, what the heck, not much effect, if any. High level "collectible shooter" probably not so advisable. But first, try getting used to the whole deal as-is while you're practicing to hit that X ring.
