Question Mauser frame with "A" over-stamp on serial suffix

I've tried searching and seem to remember some info or example of a similarly marked pistol or frame.

I found the threads and info with the "large a(lower case)" on some Vopo pistols, but this one is a capital Latin "A".

Frame appears to be a refinish, maybe RC, or Norway, has import marking.

I'm going to build a shooter on it, but am curious about this suffix over strike. The original suffix may be an "o", and the frame has the classic Mauser "hump".

Anyone remember a thread? or who "done it"?

Thanks for any input or additional examples.

I did read one thread about a Norwegian re-work with an "L" struck over the suffix. Could be a clue.
