Recently bought a nice 1939 dated Mauser 42 code from a young fellow who brought it into the shop because "it jams". After I disassembled it, and saw everything in good order. I paid him what I thought was a fair price. He then "threw in" the ammo he had in the deal. Russian Tula steel case. I promptly gave the ammo away to a friend who shoots Glocks. I'm pretty sure the ammo is why the nice old Luger wouldn't function. Plus, it was dry and somewhat dirty.
