no offense, but from what i have seen and heard, that when the huge amount of danish and then the huge amount of greek returns came back - prices did not drop but the next January they went up at CMP - I think it might stabilize prices, but it won't drop drastically - perhaps in comparison, rifles will seem cheaper, but i doubt they will go below CMP prices, now $730 for rack grade (approx) and up.
Unless junk and I think 30-40% will be junk and parted and then there will be a bunch in decent shape and some ceremonial rifles that will be in very nice shape. Won't know until it might happen - we could see them by end of summer or end of summer 2019.
The 1911a1's are still sitting in US Army stock (although rumor is that a number are sitting waiting at CMP for official word, with promised 10k a year since what, 2 years ago?
