Hello Ed,

Thanks for the nice look at your new addition...luger families seem to grow, don't they ?

I read in one of my luger books (can't remember out of 15 books) that Mauser would stamp the outside of the trigger plate with the last two numbers of the full serial; and on the inside of the trigger plate they would take the first two numbers of the full serial and add one. Thus your "48" becomes "49"; stamped on the inside surface.

My Mauser '41 byf "Black Widow" does this...for a few weeks I thought my BW had a "funny" trigger plate...

Do one of our Mauser experts know why this was done by Mauser and do all Mauser lugers have this ?
