Couldn't agree more, re what quality is. It's why I admire modern military small arms... stamped metal, plastic, and all Again, the Germans come out near the top.
Lugers and old classics are in their own category.
And Jerry, I agree about not letting friends buy plastic guns. In theory. But I confess. I was a hold-out for decades, until a friend coerced me into shooting his Glock 27, I loved it, bought one, then two extra barrels, then a Glock 20 in 10mm, and extra long slide, and two more barrels...
It's called slippery slope syndrome.
But quality is what Don described; a bunch of considerations, all valid.
