I would say 'The League Of Extraordinary Gentlemen' was more steampunk. The movie itself sucked but I liked the technology.

Two other movies with steampunk that I did like were the Robert Downey Jr 'Sherlock Holmes' movies. I forget the name of the last one (A Game Of Shadows?), but it was a precursor to WW I and was about arms dealers...

Another worthless movie with a bunch of interesting ideas was 'Sky Captain And The World of Tomorrow', with things like submarine-P40-Warhawks, flying aircraft carriers, and more that I can't recall now...
