Guys, if you are really interested there are one or two really long threads with info on the Fiocchi .30 luger ammo- either here or the other luger forum.
Long story short, Fiocchi has changed their loading over the years, sometimes the color of the box, which can be grey, purple, or black, can be a clue. Ammo can be PSP or ball, it does not matter as to the load/performance.
I have boxes of the most recent black box ammo that are different in performance. One lot works well, the other will not- these are round soft point ammo(both good and bad).
You cannot be sure it works until you fire it in your luger, so don't be surprised if your mileage varies due to differences in Fiocchi loadings.
