Hi John,

I don't think there is any doubt that the stamp would have been added after manufacture. The SS didn't exist in 1913.

My feeling is that, if the stamp is real, it is either a property stamp or a rework stamp added by a SS arsenal. That would have likely been in the late '30's but the early '40's would not be out of the question.

The stamp is suspect but I am keeping an open mind as I don't think anyone really knows for sure, one way or the other.
