By "trophy papers" you mean bringback papers??? IMHO they do not add any value to the pistol at all. They are nice if you are planning a display for a veteran, but if the seller thinks they add a couple hundred to the perceived value, he is mistaken.

I put bringback papers in the same category as the receipt/bill of sale for the pistol. Nice to have but no monetary value.
