Default 1906 French Contract, To Tag Issue~

Dwight, this issue was previously discussed on our sister Forum. I researched and contacted Brad Simpson who has sold a few over the years! They were retailer inventory tags added for a particular order. He remembers all of his few, maybe 3 or 4 also each lacked any such toe markings. Mine is not a fake mearly because it lacks this singular retailer requested inventory marking? Respectivly some did and others like mine don't! These were commercial guns subject to a particular customer needs and not military strict requirements~https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Manufa...t-%C3%89tienne
