Shooting today my Luger fell apart!
Went out shooting today with a couple of friends..Took a 1936 shooter. After 5-6 magazines of faultless shooting the toggle train buckled and quit. Seems the large pin in the center of the knurled knobs fell out. The tiny pin on top of the knobs worked it's way up enough to let it loose. I managed to find it amongst all of the brass laying at the range which was a small miracle. it looks like a spent case! Put it all back together and went back to shooting.
It's a good reminder of how intricate the Luger really is. One tiny pin slipping up just enough to feel it can put you out of action.
