I'm no expert, but I know that pictures are often very hard to make assessments on real finish alterations, it's always better in person, but sometimes is needed an expert hands on evaluation, and I'm sure in some cases even an inspection by an "expert" can't be that sure, as some refinishes are so well made that many people can be fooled. IMHO
