I had to visit The Big City today and just for S&G I stopped at a small print shop on the way home. I was interested in having my M1911 and AR-15 'blueprints' printed out at 3' x 4' but at $40 ea I decided to postpone that...
(It was on photo quality paper, they do weddings etc)...
I asked about mousepads, they are reluctant to do them, and only in quantities or 25/50
(they order the blank pads in those minimum quantities) at $6-$7 each...The nice lady referred me to Walgreen's (a local drugstore), she said they do small quantities...
I tried to do a snapshot of my P08 just to see how it might look but even with my Canon G3 I can't get quite enough detail to make it look 'realistic'...
I also noticed that while a P08 Luger can look 'realistic', an LP08 or Borchardt can't...It's too long to fit on a 'standard' size mousepad
[7 3/4" x 8 3/4"] without looking too small...
I'd be interested in anyone else's comments on whether they've looked into this...
