Lightbulb Indiana Military Museum Event

I plan to attend the special events this weekend at the Indiana Military Museum in Vincennes, IN.

They put on a good reenactment show and have many vendors. The museum is not that large but it is only about 40 minutes from my house. They have a nicely restored 1940s BMW with a side car with an MG42, and a number of WWII tanks and vehicles. They maneuver them around the field. You are so close you smell the diesel exhaust and hear the tank treads. Actors are in period military garb and you get to mingle with them and talk about their uniforms, gear, weapons, etc. I know I will see a few Lugers.

It makes for a fun day.

I’d share some cool pics from years past but I can’t locate them in my files. Doh!
