I once owned a byf Luger that had an original extractor that was fitted in such a way that you could push down on the rear portion with the chamber empty and it would naturally raise the front portion as if a round were in the chamber exposing the "Geladen".

It would stay in that position unless the toggle was manipulated. Other than that oddity, it functioned normally with ammunition.
