OK, I'll up the ante a little bit. Why would any German spy master outfit his agents with a gun of a caliber which is not commonly available, and of a design which is itself uncommon and noteworthy enough to immediately mark its owner? Wouldn't it make more sense to arm them with a garden-variety domestic Savage pocket auto, or a good ol' Colt or Smith&Wesson revolver?
