Regrading whether it been re-blued or not, I just spoke to my mom, she did the trade in 1967 with the guy who brought it back from WW2, she's trying to recall his name, but he was in his 50's, she was right at about 30 years old, seems she traded this (with dad's consent ofcourse) for some type of Baretta he had bought for her.

My Dad ran a clip through it with the neighbor, and it's been put away ever since.

So, looking at the blue wear on it, I'd find it hard to see it was reblued after WW2, then worn to the points that can be seen in the pics, I've had had guns that were re-blued, some good, some bad...lol, and they always look more "black", than bluing does, but then again, I'm just comparing to the old Winchesters, Remingtons and stuff I know about, not a Luger.

Anyway, my Uncle does not have super deep pockets, but did say he was not against paying close to "retail"although I would not ask him of that) in order to help my mom out

So if you were a private party buyer, what would you think would be a price?

If you saw this gun in a gunshop, what would you think the gunshop would ask for it?

I figure to split the difference for him.

Thanks again...

And hey, uploading pics here ain't too bad

Happy Fathers Day all!
