Guns as yours pass the shooter stage. Shooters may range upward in value to your gun, but should a part break in firing, the owner may feel that the experance of firing the gun was worth it. Most of here, I think, may have one lesser condition gun which we fire and should a part break, or some other damage occure we could live with it. You gun goes far behond shooter grade and it is a real collector piece, not worth the risk of shooting, but a family treasure to be passed down. I only shoot the one luger of mine every few years, as for the rest they are of too great a replacemnet value, and a investment to risk....hope this helps
