I believe you are correct, sir! After DWM became an entity in January 1897, the only 7.63 cartridge case headstamp that I have reference for is "466", which is DWM catalogued as "Selbstlade-Pistol Kal. 7,63mm" with no reference to Borchardt or Mauser. Interestingly enough, the bullets for these casings are numbered 203 (203 and 203B through F) and are catalogued as "Selbstladepistol Mauser Kal 7,63". Sure seems that since DWM made most of the Borchardts they would have made cartridges with their "brand", but I have no knowledge of it.
