I bought a couple of cheap-o repros, just to have on hand. When they arrived, I found that the hole had no lip, it just went straight through. I created a lip with a carbide Dremel bit, but it wound up having a bit of a bevel to it, as your hand -filed version also seems to have. Because of the bevel, the tool tends to wedge behind the follower button, not just hook over it, and the arrangement makes mine bind up repeatedly on the way down. Do you have such a problem with yours?
*edit* I got looking at this tool after writing, and upon closer inspection, the feature that contributed to the binding turned out to be the way the relief "channel" on the back side was milled. After widening the channel, no more binding!
