As a C&R, it's perfectly fine and attractive, it has many "positive" points from C&R viewing angle: the shape looks odd, the structure is odd, it's very heavy, it's well finished, it's old and had a little bit history, etc.

If you ever shot a Remington Army cap & ball revolver you wouldn't say that. They are about the same weight. And if you ever tried a Colt Dragoon or even better a Walker, you would think the Astra is a feather.
