According to Fred Datig in 1962, "In 1906 the larger quantity of the pistols and holsters remaining in storage (in excess of 700) were placed at public auction, along with other surplus ordinance items. The New York firm of Bannerman purchased what may have been the entire lot of pistols and holsters and placed them for sale in 1906. The 1907 Bannerman catalog gives the price of the pistol as $19.85 and the holsters at $.95.
