Why not make a vintage type, twist and lock on attachment? Would seem way easier than
changing the barrel, and also leave you an un-modified and useful luger.

Though it is none of my business, why do you want to surpress a luger?
With an effective silencer and certainly with sub-sonic ammo it would be a single shot, wouldn't it?
