Mike,
a 3,089,000 carbine was made at Inland.
the markings on the barrel are winchester.
Barrels were shipped from mfg. to mfg. to keep the lines running, but a winchester bbl on an
inland is unusual.

So it could be re-barreled, but at $400 it is about half price of a shooter US made WWII carbine.
