I would venture an educated guess, that the type of rust that occurs is not manufacturer dependent, but dependent on the conditions that caused the rust to form. All military Lugers, regardless of the manufacturer, would have to be made to strict metallurgy and finish specifications... so how they would rust would have to depend on how they lived their "lives"... Just my $0.02
