Yours must be an early one... I owned the same rifle as a child and it had the grooves to mount a .22 scope. The old Weaver N3 mount is what you need, but you probably have to drill and tap for the screws into your receiver.

Here is a photo of the mount, and also a photo of the mount that is attached to a .22 rifle of similar vintage...
