Years ago, there was a news short with Diane Feinstein showing off new manhole covers made from dozens of confiscated/evidence/turned-in handguns, rifles, and shotguns...She was bragging about how they would never be used for violence again...Not a word about how the money from their legal sale
might have fed the hungry, or provided medicine for the homeless, or Kevlar vests for the police...
