The Allies closely tracked the battles and German Imperial Army's Order of Battle throughout WWI. Unfortunately, for historians and collectors, the collection process of this kind of information ended with the end of WWI. In 1920, all of this documentation was published and has now allowed us to track the majority of Germany's combat units during WWI generally including which battles their units participated in.

I am unaware of any similar effort undertaken/published of Reichswehr unit related activities during the "Weimar Period." As a result, think you will find it difficult to research/develop any unit type information during this period. If you do find any research data relating to Reichswehr units during the Weimar Period, I am sure that there are some folks on this Forum who will be very interested (and appreciative) of you identifying your source documents.
