Wow, I just looked at the rest of the pics after following the link. Hmmm...never saw one with a rib. This one looks like it runs at too low a level, so virtually useless. It is probably silver soldered on, right? Since it extends into the relief that would accommodate the front sight leaf, I wonder how the barrel would be unscrewed in the future. Guess you'd need the special wrenches for the barrel and receiver AND a torch! Somebody put a lot of work into this, to establish this bitter irony for us. "I buffed the heck out of it and it's still too roundy...better buff it some more!" I call it the Reverse Midas, or Fecal Touch.
