That's right. All major battles of Sino-Japanese War happened before 1941.

Japanese Army had one thing unique -- I guess its logistics system did not supply food to troops, because in relevant movies, on Japanese side, a major task was finding food.. In European WWII movies, I don't remember seeing German searching food everywhere, well, at least, finding something to eat was not a major cause of conflict between local people and German.
