I saw a lot of Ryukyun schoolgirls in those uniforms on Okinawa back in '71. Cute.

When I got released from active duty, I dated a Catholic schoolgirl (I married one eventually, too, but that's another story). She told me an amusing story: The Gestapo Nuns would stage spot-checks to see if those pleated skirts were too short. The girls had to line up and the Nuns would measure the distance from knee to skirt. So, the girls would unbutton/unzip a bit and ease the skirts down to 'legal length'...

Turning back to coffee...This supermarket ticket was given to me along with my receipt last grocery run. I didn't look at it until I got home, and I still have no idea WTF it is...

No price; no 'free' note; no "Half Off" notations...Nothing to indicate why they handed it to me...

I plan on taking it back and asking, as there is nothing on front or back telling WHY they're giving them out, hopefully it is a promotion of some kind...
