welcome to the forum - as Neil said, many 3 digits exist, 999 for each 10,000 made

Also, look on the front of the frame and see if the 3-digit has a letter under it - this would be part of the serial number, but not all of them have it...

pictures would help us help you - see the How to ID your Luger in the New Collectors area, which is probably where this belongs
