The rear of the ejector needs to be gently lifted in order to clear a small seating/locking protrusion on the frame.

The problem with the gun not resetting the firing pin is most likely related to the plunger at the end of the sear bar. make sure there is no debris around the sear and that the plunger moves freely. I have buffed the side of the plunger that faces farthest outward to make sure it both clears and resets the firing pin.
