Like if you were to take a razor blade and cut all the stitching and spread the leather flat and trace the outlines on a sheet of graph paper so that members could get a piece of horsehide from Tandy and make a holster of their own???
That sounds like a splendid idea!!!
Graph paper with 1/2" squares should work; you'll probably/surely have to spread the main body over two sheets, the flap, magazine pouch, straps etc can all be put on separate sheets.
Your holster templates would make a splendid addition to John Sabato's Luger Blueprint CD!!!
(Be sure to measure thread gauge and estimate length, whether waxed or unwaxed; any metal parts such as buckles, etc)...
