That sounds like a splendid idea!!!

Graph paper with 1/2" squares should work; you'll probably/surely have to spread the main body over two sheets, the flap, magazine pouch, straps etc can all be put on separate sheets.

Your holster templates would make a splendid addition to John Sabato's Luger Blueprint CD!!!

(Be sure to measure thread gauge and estimate length, whether waxed or unwaxed; any metal parts such as buckles, etc)...
