Default Mauser Caliper tool marking?

I acquired this Mauser Caliper recently.

It's not a US Import model, and has German abbreviations and Kg. based round and rectangular rod weight estimation tables on the back.

Near the Mauser logo (7 bar) it has the letters "WL" or the letter "W" and a equal armed right angle engraved.

Near the other end, it has a Stick Eagle and WaA 42 electro-penciled over the digit "7".

Has anyone seen a Mauser related tool marked this way? Pictures below...

Thanks, Marc
