Kind of hard to understand from a semi experienced viewpoint.
Handguns spend 99% of the time holstered.
.45 auto is pretty effective for handgun use.

I carried a CAR and a .45 a few times, but soon ditched the .45 as excess baggage.
1911s can be improved with minimal work-a trigger job helps immensly.
A lot of politics was involved in the switch to the Beretta.
