Then there's who owns the copyright...IIRC, the writer signs away his rights to the magazine, and as long as the material isn't sold it can be freely distributed...

OK, this really strains my memory...But IIRC as long as you attribute the author and the publication, you are good...IOW, leave the page ID and author's name intact...

Edit: I also don't see any note in the masthead that prohibits excerpts for promotion...Some pubs do; Gun Report has no such disclaimer...
