This firing pin could easily be repaired if it is number matching if you own a lathe. And as I recall from my visit there is one in your garage. You could simply bore out the two pieces oversize and then press fit them tightly on a mild steel dowel. Face off the dowel and the redrill the firing pin spring hole. That repair would likely last longer than you will!
