+1 on Ed, Jerry and George's comments....

Here is a link to our own Mauro Baudino's website on the LP-08. This link will take you to a page where you can see a photo of the canvas type TM-08 case that was used. I have never seen a period photograph of a leather snaildrum case. Surely if they were real, at least one photograph before/during/after WW1 showing the leather case in use would have surfaced by now. Hence, until proven otherwise, it's a FAKE.
