I had read some negative reviews about the Mitchell Lugers. However, I am happy to report that it is 100 percent reliable so far. It has a very nice trigger and it eats up factory and reloads without a hitch. I suppose that I have about 200 rounds through it now. Also, it looks pretty sexy in the stainless. It looks like it was never fired before I shot it too. So, I would imagine that I bought someone's safe queen, or perhaps the owner died?

As for the S/42, I was told that it was a G.I. bringback. It is too bad that I don't have anything that can substantiate that... There are 3 names inside of the holster flap that can just be made out. 2 of the top names have a line through them with the bottom name unobstructed. I can only assume that the bottom name probably belongs to the German soldier that it was taken from. It would be interesting if I could eventually do some research into those names and perhaps find out something about the soldiers that carried the weapon.
