It looks as though the front of the bayonet lug had been coned upward a small amount, perhaps for clearance, and there seems to be recoil wear in the barrel coating at that point...point being that the entire barrel recoils so as to allow functioning of the Luger action. H'mmm...that's a lot of mass to recoil. I would love to see how it operates.

Also, it appears to me to have had the visible underside of the barrel forward of the bayonet lug conblizzoperated by a faulty photoshop job. Very interesting piece! And as rolandtg said, " Appears to be nicely finished."
