Gunny is correct. I think the material to which he refers might stretch a little, but most of the fitting will need to be done by trimming and tucking. +1 on the light coating of adhesive--only enough to hold the fabric in place. I advise lots of trial fitting to make certain it's going OK.
Storage of a clean and oiled pistol in the case would work out best if you toss in a packet of silica gel to absorb any moisture. Check regularly for any problems that might develop, and change out or re-invigorate the packet when needed.
