I'm honestly not sure what the mark is. The only other mark on the barrel is the serial number, and it is also roughly stamped like this mark.

The plum color tone of the barrel, and the appearance of the front (which is also blued) makes me think it was salt blued. It is properly staked, and the original front sight is mounted on the new barrel.

The new barrel is properly and clearly staked into the receiver as well...
