Alan is right. This is a very big subject, so try to decide what model bests excites the imagination. WW1, WW2, Nazi, Imperial Germany, commercial, pre-WW1 models, Swiss, Portugese, Persian, 4", Naval, Artillery , Carbine, etc?
Make this determination before you decide where to spend your money.
And welcome aboard, it really is a facinating subject.
