Ron and all:
Look at the 3 acceptance marks and the 1 TK on the right side of the receiver. All the Eagle 655's and bird look extremely fresh, straight, even, etc. Unusually perfect, even finish with bluing in each line, each line at an even depth. etc.
Assumng that this is post-war skulduggery, how do you think that was done? Was this whole thing welded up and restamped with bogus (sharp) stamps, reblued, etc?
I'm not trying to put anyone on the spot, but I'm trying to learn not only to spot a fraud, but to understand the processes used to manufacture it.
