That is what its about for me-the guys who manned up or were called up to serve their countries in difficult times.
Back when our freedom required certain obligations and responsibilities.
Highly recommended, even in peacetime.
The experience of getting off ones porch and being involved with strangers in endeavors from mundane to overwhelming is rarely replicated t home.
Learning and personal growth are rewards for the time spent.
Not always fun or pleasant, but good for character.
