IS the last photo update...
The external physical healing is about complete... but overcoming the underlying scar tissue to allow movement, and physical therapy will be ongoing for months yet... only a couple of degrees of movement of my thumb's top knuckle, compared to about 30 degrees of movement on the other hand. I still have a long row to hoe...

and please don't try this at home... This is the result of an amateur on a closed course... imagine how bad it would be if a professional had been injured!
